Dr. Who Scarf
Made for my cousin Joey
Needles: Size 7
Yarn: Lion Brand Woolease in Camel, gold and Olive, Vanna’s Choice Worsted in Brick, Plum, dark grey and brown.
Finished Size: at least 12 ft. unstretched (exclluding fringe)
This was inspired by the character Dr. Who, the Tom Baker version from the 70′s.
My cousin Joey is a HUGE DW fan so I gladly gave up months of my knitting life to create this awesome scarf for her. I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it!
I also made another version of this, several years ago for Mr. Knitwit (who graciously..and goofily posed as The Doctor for these pics). Here he is in the original:
For his I used all Lion Brand yarns, except for the orange which is Encore. Basically the same pattern, just slightly different colors.
A lot of fun, great way to use up leftovers, even if you don’t want to knit an “authentic” DW scarf…or one as long! I think there’s a reason I’ve only ever knit 2 of these and they came along 7 yrs apart!

Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Seamless Shirtyoke sweater with stand up collar
Yarn: Reynolds Lopi about 10 balls
Ishbel by Ysolda Teague (smaller size)
Yarn: KnitPicks bare sock yarn hand dyed by me with KoolAid. Used just about half a skein
Needles: KnitPicks interchangeable size 6
Knitting time: Just under 3 weeks
Notes: Super quick to knit and very enjoyable through the whole process. Wish I’d have gone up a needle size to make it a bit bigger as it doesn’t want to stay on my shoulders, but I’ll just have to wear it with a shawl pin.
